Hello there!
I'm a senior student in the Cosa School of the Arts Digital Arts Program! My specialty is in animation and illustration.
I'm Nadia Lugo
Art and storytelling has always been a passion of mine. When I read my first ever graphic novel, I knew that someday I would make my own comic. Making a graphic novel is still a goal of mine, but for now, I am tackling other mediums, like animation and illustration. The effect of art and storytelling on my life so far continues to motivate me.
My general rule of thumb when it comes to making decisions while creating is to always prioritize the story. If there is a story to tell, let your next decisions be based on that story or theme. If you feel your story is not one you want to tell, make it so it is. From this idea I decide what medium the story will be told through, figure out how much time I will have to work, and how much further I can reasonably push the limits.
Currently, I am a digital and visual arts student. The high school I attend– Coronado School of the Arts– became a great opportunity to surround myself with creative people. Where I started as a self-taught artist in a small town in Arizona with no real art community around me has now become an everyday motivator for me to engage with the large art community here in California. For now, I am learning new ways to elevate my art so that one day I can reach where I aspire to be: which is to be someone that other artists can look up to.
